Every product requires liquidity to function, which gives us the opportunity to interact with nearly all areas of SEB. We are responsible for forecasting, monitoring and managing SEB's intraday liquidity across multiple currencies, ensuring the bank can meet its payment obligations throughout the day.

About the role

The role primarily involves short-term liquidity forecasting across currencies, monitoring SEB's liquidity needs, intraday optimization and end-of-day liquidity management.

Our work is driven by various market cut-off times and supported by several critical systems and infrastructures. Priorities can change quickly, and unexpected events are part of everyday life. Our responsibility is to deliver with the same high quality regardless of the circumstances.

 

Apart from a wide range of internal stakeholders, you will regularly collaborate with central banks, financial market infrastructures and other international banks.

Intraday liquidity management is a highly specialized area. We provide extensive training and support to ensure your success in the role, while also creating opportunities to take on increasing responsibility as your experience and expertise grow.

We are looking for two candidates at different stages of their careers and welcome applications from both early-career professionals and experienced specialists.

 

Profile 1: Early Career Specialist

You may be at the beginning of your career, but you have a genuine interest in finance, payments and liquidity management and are eager to build expertise within a highly specialized area.

 

We believe you have:

  • A university degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Some experience from banking, finance, payments, treasury or another relevant area.
  • A strong willingness to learn and develop.
  • A structured and detail-oriented approach.
  • The ability to remain calm and focused when working against deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
  • This role offers a unique opportunity to develop deep expertise in an area that is central to the functioning of the bank.

 

Profile 2: Senior Specialist

You have built experience within liquidity management, treasury, payments, market infrastructure or a closely related area and enjoy taking ownership beyond daily operations.

 

We believe you have:

  • Several years of relevant experience within financial services.
  • Experience from areas that directly impact liquidity, payments or cash management.
  • A proven track record of driving process improvements, initiatives, projects or changes in ways of working.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • The ability to combine operational understanding with a broader strategic perspective.
  • Excellent skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.

 

In addition to contributing to the core work of the team, you would have the opportunity to support improvements, strengthen processes and contribute to the continued development of Intraday Liquidity Management. As the function evolves, the role may also offer scope to take on broader responsibilities over time.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
