Infrastructure Engineer on Mainframe platform at SEB in Stockholm

We are looking for an engineer/system programmer who will be part of a team working with Mainframe infrastructure and belonging services to the Mainframe platform. The team is part of SEB Technology and located in Solna in the Stockholm area. Mainframe is a vital platform within SEB where we work a lot with modernization and where many different initiatives are ongoing connected to Mainframe platform. At SEB we strive towards a modern Mainframe environment well aligned with our digital roadmap.
About the role
As an engineer/system programmer, you will work with maintaining and managing the servers and other belonging hardware, as well as OS and related software products, for best performance and optimization. You will be responsible, together with the team, for daily maintenance, support and technical development of the mainframe platform. Maintenance and operation of mainframe infrastructure is of outmost importance as many critical applications for the bank are running on the platform. Also new requirements on IT delivery put new demands on different solutions for fulfilling them. The team has scheduled on-call 7/24 and that will also be included in this role when suitable.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have
· At least 3 years’ experience regarding Mainframe platform as a system programmer
· Knowledge of IBM Z hardware, z/OS, SMP, HCD, VTAM, TCP/IP
· Experience within GDPS is meritorious
· Fluent in Swedish and English
You are analytic and structured in your work and understand the importance in following processes when working in critical environments. Cooperation in the team is important, as the team has great own responsibility for their deliveries. In addition, the ability to independently run your own activities and take responsibility for them is necessary. Enjoy working with colleagues, developing as an engineer and have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude is of great importance.
