The Baltic division provides full retail banking and investment advisory services to private individuals and small to medium- sized companies, and advisory-driven corporate banking services to larger corporate and institutional customers. 

About the role:

As Head of Private Banking in Estonia, you will play a key leadership role in developing and driving SEB’s private banking and investment advisory offering with focus on profitable growth whilst ensuring strong risk management and compliance practices. You will also be part of the key Retail Banking management team, driving the wider retail banking agenda across Estonia and Baltic division.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and driving private banking and investment advisory services offering and approach to market, contributing to ambitious growth plans within the area;
  • Delivering ambitious business goals for the Private Banking area by building and maintaining long-term relationships with key customers and partners;
  • Driving the growth of the private banking and investment advisory customer base and contributing towards long-term strategy creation;
  • Driving and defining an appropriate risk–reward balance for private banking and investment advisory activities;
  • Ensuring robust risk management and compliance practices across private banking area;
  • Leading, motivating and inspiring private banking team to achieve high performance, business drive and strong collaboration;
  • Ensuring full compliance with all regulatory and internal requirements, while fostering a strong risk-aware business culture;
  • Collaborating closely with the Management Board members and the Baltic Retail Banking management team to support strategic priorities and execution. 
Who are we looking for?
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to operate effectively in an international organization within a matrix structure;
  • Solid experience in investment advisory services and asset management, wider banking experience seen as an advantage;
  • Energy and thriving business acumen with an ability to think outside of the box;
  • Proven leadership and excellent people management capabilities;
  • A strong track record of building and developing long-term client relationships;
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills;
  • A self-driven, flexible, and goal-oriented mindset, with the ability to deliver results under pressure;
  • High integrity and strong ethical standards;
  • Focus on people and ability to motivate and lead high-performing teams;
  • A university degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, other languages considered as an advantage.
