Engineering Manager – Tech ITS Distribution & Investments

We are looking for an Engineering Manager who is passionate about building winning teams and driving innovation through modern technologies such as agentic AI, cloud-native solutions, and automation. About the role 
As an Engineering Manager, you will be part of Technology Investment & Trading Solutions (ITS), helping drive the next generation of savings, investment, and trading solutions at SEB. You will lead a team within Tech ITS Distribution & Investments, combining leadership, technology, and business understanding. Working in a fast-moving environment where customer value, innovation, quality, and operational excellence are key to our success, you will contribute to delivering scalable, end-to-end investment services for our customers. 

You will: 

• Build new high-quality services that bring great customer value

• Be part of transforming our ways of working towards spec-driven development and agentic AI 

• Drive the technical agenda and roadmap in close collaboration with the Tech Lead and Product Owner 

• Coach and develop engineers, strengthening both technical excellence and team performance 

• Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure alignment between solutions and client needs 

You are expected to:

You report to the Department Manager and are an active member of the management team. 

Who you are  

You are an experienced engineering leader with a strong technical background and a passion for building high-performing teams. You combine people leadership with a deep understanding of modern software development and know how to empower individuals and teams to grow, perform, and deliver results. 

We believe you have: 

• Several years of people leadership experience, with a coaching and empowering leadership style 

• A strong technical foundation from roles such as Tech Lead, Lead Engineer, or similar 

• Deep understanding of modern software development practices and engineering excellence 

• Have hands-on experience in advanced agentic engineering, spec-driven development, and how to build AI cases that makes a significant difference in terms of saving time or cost 

• A curiosity-driven mindset and the ability to lead and drive change in a fast-moving environment 

• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills 

• Excellent communication skills in English 

• Experience leading the transition to AI-first and agentic engineering practices is considered a strong merit.
