Electronic Execution Sales Trader to Equities | SEB, Stockholm
Our Electronic Execution team delivers market-leading algorithmic and electronic trading solutions to institutional clients across global markets. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Electronic Execution Sales Trader to join our team and help drive execution quality and deliver value for our clients. Based in Stockholm within our Investment Banking division, this is a core front-office role within SEB’s Equities.
In this role, client contact, electronic sales, and trading will be key aspects of your responsibilities. You will collaborate closely with institutional clients, including hedge funds and asset managers, across global markets to understand their trading needs and deliver high-quality execution for their cash equity trades. We have great ambitions to grow our electronic execution offering and client base, making this an exciting opportunity to be part of a desk that is scaling up and building out its franchise.
What you will do
- Manage client order flow across algorithmic, DMA, and program trading channels.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients on execution quality, algo performance, and market microstructure questions.
- Work closely with quantitative and technology teams to refine algo strategies and trading tools.
- Flag anomalies, liquidity events, and execution issues in real time.
- Contribute to the team's ongoing work on best execution, market structure changes, and regulatory requirements (e.g. MiFID II/MiFIR, SSR).
- Collaborate cross- functionally with Sales, Prime Finance, Product and Technology teams to capture new market opportunities.
- Pursue new client opportunities, contributing directly to the team's growth in client income.
To thrive in this role:
- A few years of experience in electronic trading, or a related markets role at an investment bank, hedge fund, retail brokerage or an institutional buy-side firm.
- Good understanding of equities trading, algorithmic trading, market microstructure, transaction cost analysis, and associated trading parameters.
- A well-established understanding of client relationships within the European equities community, institutional asset managers, hedge funds and retail brokerage firms.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills.
- Fluent in both English and Swedish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Hold a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a similar field.
