SEB is more than just a bank with an IT function. We are a progressive tech company powered by innovation and fueled by collaboration. From Java to AI and everything in between, we offer you an impressive tech stack and several technology paths. Together we're innovating for a sustainable society and building the tech arena of the future, a welcoming space for everyone.

About the role:

In this role, you will own and operate the CI/CD platform that powers our GCP-based data warehouse making sure pipelines run reliably, securely, and in compliance with banking regulatory standards. You are the person who keeps builds green, deployments predictable, and the developer experience smooth, while ensuring our practices meet what's expected of a regulated financial institution.

You work embedded in a data engineering team that is integrating data sources into a modern data warehouse. Your mission is to make sure the machinery that builds, tests, and deploys this platform works well and that we can demonstrate to auditors that it does. You'll drive pipeline reliability, harden supply-chain security, maintain governance documentation, manage incident response processes, and be the team's champion when something breaks or when auditors come knocking.

You will share responsibility with other team members for day-to-day data engineering work, but your primary focus is health, security, and compliance of our build and delivery infrastructure.

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

DevSecOps & CI/CD (core)

  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or similar)
  • Hands-on with pipeline hardening: dependency pinning, container image scanning, vulnerability gating
  • Familiarity with supply-chain security practices (SBOM, signed artifacts, immutable references)
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g. Trivy, Snyk, or similar) integrated into build pipelines
  • Understanding of IAM, least-privilege principles, and service account governance in cloud environments
  • Track record of improving pipeline reliability, build times, and developer experience
  • Experience responding to and learning from incidents (post-mortems, remediation tracking)

Governance & Compliance (core)

  • Experience working in a regulated environment (banking/finance preferred)
  • Knowledge of IT audit processes and ability to produce evidence for internal/external auditors
  • Familiarity with incident management frameworks (ITIL-based or equivalent)
  • Ability to author and maintain operational procedures, security guidelines, and compliance documentation

Considered meritorious skills:

  • Familiarity with GCP services (BigQuery, Composer/Airflow, Dataform) or similar cloud data platforms
  • Comfortable reading and writing SQL and Python
  • Understanding of data modelling concepts, lineage, and data quality
  • Experience with ELT pipelines or data integration — enough to understand what you're securing

What we offer:

  • Hybrid work model, meaning remote work is possible up to 2 days/week
  • Long-term stability and growth as a company
  • A diverse, inclusive and equal environment
  • Entrepreneurial Scandinavian environment
  • Opportunity to build connections with a top-level customer network

Do you want to be part of SEB?

We strive to have an inclusive, value-driven culture where employees feel valued, respected, and involved irrespective of who they are, what they believe or where they come from. Since we select candidates continuously, feel free to send in your application today via the link in this ad, but no later than 30/6, 2026. If you have questions about the position, please contact Thanh Truong, thanh.truong@seb.se, note that we will not process applications via email.
