What you will be doing 
Control Center is a first line support function, with continuous monitoring and operation services 24 hours per day, 7 days of the week and 365 days per year. The team consists of 21 experienced people of those 18 operators working shifts and 3 working normal office hours. They all contribute to ensuring a robust and stable technological environment for the whole of SEB. We support applications and IT platforms throughout the bank; we also provide internal Service Desk support on weekday evenings. Control Center is part of Technology, specifically Infrastructure & Security Operations (ISO). We are now looking for a Team Manager to lead the team both as people and Product Manager. 


As people leader, you’ll listen actively, understand experiences without absorbing emotions, create clarity, consistency, and spaces where individuals feel safe to speak up, challenge ideas, and share concerns—essential during everyday operations. 
As product leader, you’ll identify needs and make use of the ideas for improvements from the team and its surroundings.  

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the team’s performance, delivery, and KPIs. Remove impediments and provide  

  • guidance while empowering teams to make their own decisions.  

  • Accountable for daily operations for the team 

  • Shift planning, performance management, and competence development 

  • Be part of the development of proactive monitoring to identify issues before they affect customers. 

  • Continuous development and change ensuring relevance to business and IT needs 

  • Ensure that Control Center services and processes always have efficient supporting tools (e.g., dashboards, observability tools, knowledge mgmt.) 

  • Follow up on statistics, define and monitor SLOs and KPIs. Identify improvement opportunities. 

  • Provide leadership during and after major incidents, escalations, and follow up.  

  • Present operational status, risks, trends and recommendations to other stakeholders within the bank 

  • Be an active part of the management team for the department 

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in the Technology domain is required 

  • Proven strong leadership experience as a manager, beneficial if in IT operations or similar  

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills 

  • Agile leadership skills 

  • Strong understanding of large and complex IT environments with applications and technical platforms 

  • Experience/knowledge of 24/7 operations and time critical environments    

  • Experience in driving changes: Modernize tooling and way of working  

  • Experience in risk management and compliance 

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes (e.g. incident and event management) 

  • Strong interest in monitoring and observability platforms, automation tools and AI technologies 

  • Fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written
