About the role:
Group Compliance is an independent control function within the SEB Group, responsible for supporting and overseeing the first line in order to ensure proactive behaviour and long‑term sustainable decision-making from both a local and global perspective. As a global function, Group Compliance operates independently from the first line and reports directly to the CEO and the Board.
As a Compliance Officer at CIB Compliance, you will focus on compliance duties for the CIB Division. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing compliance advice to business stakeholders and management.
- Performing compliance monitoring activities and controls.
- Supporting the business in the implementation of regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring and assessing regulatory developments relevant to the CIB Division.
- Identifying, assessing and escalating compliance risks.
- Contributing to the development of compliance policies, procedures and controls framework.
Content-wise you should be prepared to engage in topics that relate to the regulatory framework applicable specifically to the investment banking and markets areas within the CIB Division. These topics may include regulations and requirements related to MiFID II, Market Abuse Regulation (MAR), conflicts of interest, conduct and governance matters applicable to investment banking and markets activities.
The role of the Compliance Officer means daily contact with different parts of the organization, including members of management, as well as close collaboration with colleagues within Group Compliance. You will report directly to the Head of CIB Compliance.

- We welcome candidates with two to three years of relevant professional experience from compliance, legal, regulatory or financial services roles. However, candidates who have recently completed their law degree and demonstrate strong personal qualities, a genuine interest in financial markets and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.
Additionally, we believe you have:
- A completed Swedish law degree.
- A genuine interest in CIB Division’s business.
- Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.
