Unique opportunity to take the next step in a client-facing commodities role within finance.

We are now looking for a relationship-driven salesperson to join the Commodity Sales team within FICC Sweden.Commodity Sales Sweden consists of 5 sales professionals and is part of SEB’s Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division.

FICC Markets is part of the division Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) and provides first class analysis, advisory, execution and trading of financial instruments within the three asset classes Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income and Commodities. FICC Markets operates in all major Nordic countries as well as Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London,  New York, Shanghai and Singapore. 


About the role
As part of our Commodity Sales team, you will advise Swedish corporate clients on managing their commodity exposures—ranging from risk assessment and hedging strategies to tailored market insights and transaction structuring. You will work closely with clients as well as internal stakeholders such as Trading, Coverage, Research, and Risk to deliver relevant and value-adding solutions. In this role, you are expected to take a leading position in client dialogue, originate opportunities, and drive business forward from idea generation to execution.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Managing and developing client relationships within the Swedish corporate segment, as well as supporting the business through our international network.

· Originating, structuring, pricing, and executing commodity risk management transactions tailored to client needs.

· Identifying new business opportunities and proactively prospecting for new clients and transaction ideas.

· Advising clients on commodity market developments, exposure analysis, and relevant hedging strategies.

· Working closely with internal stakeholders to develop business cases, deliver client pitches, and ensure strong execution.

· Contributing to the continued development of advisory tools, client offering, and commercial approach.


To thrive in this role, we believe you have
An outgoing and commercially minded person with solid experience from a relevant roles, and can contribute with advisory skills, market understanding, and strong drive.

You have a relevant university degree, a genuine interest in commodities, and several years of relevant professional experience. The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English, as well as the confidence to engage with clients and internal stakeholders in a proactive and credible way.

It is not a prerequisite but valued if you have experience from physical commodity markets such as purchase or sales agreements, commodity pricing mechanisms, inventory financing, or origination and bespoke commodity transactions.

We believe it will be in your favor to have a strong commercial mindset, analytical skills, a structured way of working, and the ability to build trust in a fast-paced environment. A can-do attitude and collaborative approach are essential.
