Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? SEB Kort Group is now seeking a driven Accounting Manager to lead the Operational Accounting Team.

About the role

As an Accounting Manager in SEB Kort Group, you will lead our Operational Accounting team, consisting of 14 skilled accountants based in Stockholm and Frankfurt, within a dynamic and regulated banking environment. You will be part of the Accounting and Reporting management team and report to our Head of Accounting & Tax.

In this key leadership role, you will work closely with other teams within the Accounting function – Financial Reporting, Tax, and Accounts Payable – to ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely accounting across SEB Kort Group’s entities. You will oversee the Operational Accounting team’s delivery, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a team of 14 professionals
  • Own and oversee operational accounting activities ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality accounting
  • Be responsible for ensuring delivery of monthly-, quarterly- and yearly closings
  • Ensuring quality documentation in accounting and reconciliation processes
  • Leading cross-functional projects, process improvements, and integration initiatives related to systems and organizational changes
  • Driving implementation of new accounting requirements and ensuring correct accounting treatment across the organization
  • Partnering with stakeholders across the business to strengthen financial governance and operational efficiency

We are looking for a confident and structured accounting leader with operational credibility and a pragmatic, forward‑looking mindset. You take ownership and follow through on outcomes, work in a structured and analytical way to create clarity for your team, remain steady and adaptable in changing environments, and lead with a pedagogic, people‑focused approach that helps teams perform, grow, and thrive.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Several years (approximately 5+ years) of experience in accounting roles, ideally with group accounting or international environment with accounting operations across multiple legal entities
  • Hands-on accounting experience from an international environment
  • Experience leading teams to support change in ways that build trust and capability
  • Professional written and spoken fluency in Swedish and English with ability to communicate effectively across different levels and parts of the organization.
  • Interest and experience in process improvement and automation
