About the role: 

As a .NET Developer in Payments & Reporting, you will be part of a crossfunctional team working to build SEB’s new payment platform — one of our highestpriority initiatives. You’ll work with a modern microservices landscape and a young codebase, using technologies such as .NET 10, Kafka, IBM MQ, Redis, and MS SQL. Our container and orchestration environment includes Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. Together with colleagues in Stockholm and Vilnius, you’ll contribute to shaping scalable, secure, and resilient payment solutions for the future.

To thrive in this rolewe believe you have: 

 

  • Strong experience building and operating backend services using .NET/C#, with a solid understanding of microservice architectures and distributed systems. 

  • Proven ability to design, optimize, and operate dataintensive systems, including schema design, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting in MS SQL Server–based environments. 

  • Deep understanding of database performance and reliability, including indexing strategies, query optimisation, and handling production issues. 

  • Handson experience designing and working with asynchronous messaging and eventdriven systems, using Kafka, IBM MQ, or similar technologies. 

  • Practical experience running services in containerised and orchestrated environments (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift), with awareness of scaling, resilience, and failure modes. 

  • Experience contributing to or owning CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, with a focus on safe, repeatable releases. 

  • A collaborative engineering mindset, with a willingness to share knowledge, learn continuously, and improve how the team builds and runs software. 

  • Strong communication skills, with fluency in English; Swedish is a plus.
