SEB rewarded for its risk reporting

Audit and consulting firm EY on Friday handed SEB its Risk Transparency Award, for the best risk reporting in Swedish listed companies' annual reports for 2012.

“We have put a lot of effort into creating an educational and comprehensive description of our approach to risk. It is critical to our success that the outside world has confidence in our risk management. It is encouraging that this work is being recognised, says Chief Risk Officer Johan Andersson.

EY said a reader of SEB’s annual report have the preconditions needed to evaluate the bank’s risk assessment, risk exposure and ability to handle future risks.

The award was handed out Friday at a risk seminar arranged by EY. On stage to receive the award was SEB’s CFO Jan Erik Back together with staff from Investor Relations and risk functions.
