In addition to the regional awards, Euromoney also named SEB Best Bank in Latvia.
Euromoney said in a statement it chose SEB for the awards because it has been particularly strong in corporate activity and that it is a well capitalized bank that has managed a turn-around in its Baltic operations well.
In a comment to award for best bank in Latvia, Ainars Ozols, head of SEB’s local business there, says:
“Euromoney's prestigious awards can be seen as the highest level of international acclaim for our work. This is another international acknowledgment that we are successfully realising our strategy to be the trusted partner for our customers and to provide he highest quality service – both to private individuals and corporate customers.”
Euromoney says the awards recognise institutions that demonstrate leadership, innovation, and momentum in the markets in which they excel. To participate banks are invited to submit their credentials for the awards which are decided by a committee of senior Euromoney journalists.
SEB has claimed the Best Cash Management award, the Best M&A House award and other Euromoney awards on several occasions in previous years.
