Karl Steiner
Karl Steiner is Head of Analysis managing the strategists within Strategy & Economic Research. He is responsible for SEB’s forecasts on currencies, commodities and fixed income but is most directly involved in currencies with extra interest and experience in the Swedish and Norwegian krona. He joined Strategy & Economic Research as a Quantitative FX Strategist in 2009, became its Chief Quantitative Strategist 2016 and was appointed Head of Analysis 2023. Karl joined SEB 2006 as an analyst conducting risk management advisory towards large corporates and financial institutions. Before SEB he worked three years as a researcher and lecturer for the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg from where he also holds a M.Sc. in Economics.
