SEB ranked Best Trade Bank - Nordics & Baltics

"We are delighted to have won this inaugural award in an entirely new category in the Trade Finance Awards, and we would like to thank our clients and Trade Finance Magazines readers for taking the time to express their support," says Lars Millberg, Global Head of Trade Finance. "We have a lot left to do before we have reached our target, but our efforts the past years are starting to take effect in the market and this prize is a confirmation that we are on the right track", Millberg concludes.

In November 2008, SEB launched The Benche (www.thebenche.com), a free, online community forum to encourage knowledge sharing and facilitate open dialogue between individuals active in international trade. The Benche is already becoming the industry standard reference point for trade finance and we are delighted at the level of support we have received from our customers and the wider market. The site has attracted visitors from 171 countries across a wide spectrum of companies and people working in the industry.

The Awards for Excellence is an annual event where banks, law firms and insurers and others identify the best trade finance providers.
