SEB: Information presented in the EBA Transparency Exercise 2016

The European Banking Authority (EBA) has published on its website the results of the 2016 EBA Transparency Exercise for European banks.

SEB is included in this exercise. SEB presents below the information for SEB Group in accordance with the EBA Transparency Exercise.

The EBA’s objective in the Transparency exercise is to collect and disclose information in order to strengthen market discipline and dissipate residual doubts on EU banks’ exposures, after the significant progress of EU banks on the capital side. The information provides data on banks’ composition of capital, composition of risk-weighted assets (RWAs), exposures to sovereigns, credit risk, market risk and securitisation as well as loan-to-value (LTV) across portfolios. The information is provided in respect of banks’ balance sheets as at 31 December 2012 and 30 June 2013.

The respective RWAs are calculated according to Basel II. Credit risks are classified by geography according to the residence of the obligor rather than the country in which the loan is booked. Provisions shown for credit exposures comprise specific provisions only, not including collective or homogeneous group provisions.

The information presented below for SEB Group complements SEB’s existing disclosures in its Annual Report, annual Pillar 3 Report and quarterly Interim Reports and Fact Book disclosures.

In order to assist the reader, we provide the information in both printable (PDF) and downloadable Excel formats.
