Please note that some of the questions about the recruitment process only applies for the Swedish process.

The application process consists of five stages: (please not that the process varies between countries, the below description mainly applies for Sweden)

  1. Online application.
  2. In connection with the application you will be invited to psychometric tests.
  3. If your profile matches what we are looking for, you will be invited to competency based interviews.
  4. SEB Day – A full-day assessment centre where you will be evaluated (in person) on how you perform in different situations by TNG consultants, your potential future manager and SEB team members . You will also get the opportunity to network and meet with former trainees and other people from SEB during the day. You will receive more detailed information further on if you are selected to participate in the SEB Day. (approx 6 candidates per each trainee position). All expenses in connection with the SEB Day are paid by the candidate.
  5. Final Interview with the hiring manager and SEB HR.

Yes, you can still apply if you plan to finish your degree (B.Sc. or higher) in June 2019. This means you are required to have a degree when starting the trainee position in September 2019. You will not be considered unless you have an academic degree (B.Sc or higher).

The programme is 9 month.

Local language is a requirement for some positions, otherwise English is the required language.

You apply through the "apply" button and use the application form. It is there you attach your CV, etc.

You will automatically receive an acknowledgement of receipt confirming that you have submitted your application successfully. If you do not receive such an e-mail, check your spam inbox or try to upload the application again.

Your application needs a cover letter/personal statement, your CV, a photo and your university transcript. Please write all your application documents in English.

Yes, you can apply for more than one trainee positions.

You will receive a reply from us, whatever the outcome, no later than week 12. Please understand that we are unable to provide individual feedback to all applicants.

Yes you need an EU citizenship or a work permit in the country where you are applying for a trainee position.

Yes, all trainees are paid at the same monthly salary and are eligible for SEB benefits including 27 days vacation, medical insurance, etc.

Full-time employment.

You will be hired at a specific department that will be your home department during the first year. However, the trainee programme includes visits and internships at other departments, divisions and countries as well.

Yes, in addition to the common training programme trainees will participate in individual training to develop in their specific role and within areas where there is an individual need for development.

It is our aim to hire all trainees at the end of the programme, providing they have performed well during the trainee period.
