The application process consists of five stages: (please not that the process varies between countries, the below description mainly applies for Sweden) Online application Telephone screening. The telephone screening is conducted in English. SEB Day – A full-day assessment centre where you will be evaluated (in person) by Navigio consultants, your potential future hiring manager and SEB team members on how you perform in different situations. You will also get the opportunity to network and meet with former trainees and other SEB representatives during the day. You will receive more detailed information further on if you are selected to participate in the SEB Day. (8 candidates per each trainee position. All expenses incurred for SEB Day are paid by the candidate.) In-depth interview with a Navigio consultant. Final Interview with the hiring manager and SEB HR. See our ads for more information. The ads for positions in Sweden, Finland & Ireland will be published January 8 2018. Germany to be decided. How important is my grade average? Grades alone are not the deciding criteria. Your overall profile summary is what is important to us. I don't have a degree. Can I still apply? Yes, you can still apply if you plan to finish your degree (B.Sc. or higher) in June 2018. This means you are required to have a degree when starting the trainee position in September 2018. You will not be considered unless you have an academic degree (B.Sc or higher). How long does the programme last? The programme last 12 month. Do I need to know the local language? Local language is a requirement for some positions, otherwise English is the required language. How can I apply for the programme? You apply through the "apply" button and use the application form. It is there you attach your CV, etc. How will I know whether I have successfully submitted my application? You will automatically receive an acknowledgement of receipt confirming that you have submitted your application successfully. If you do not receive such an e-mail, check your spam inbox or try to upload the application again. What should my application include? Your application needs a cover letter/personal statement, your CV, a photo and your university transcript. Please write all your application documents in English. Can I apply for more than one position? Yes, you can apply for up to three (3) different trainee positions, and it is possible to upload three different application documents. This means you can write different covers letters for different positions. If I have applied for more than one trainee position, how do I rank my priority? When submitting your application, you are asked if you have applied for more than one position. Also, please rank the position you have applied for in your cover letters, e.g. "position X is my first/second/third preferred choice." Please note: SEB will ultimately decide which trainee position your profile is best suited for, in cooperation with our partner Navigio. When will I receive a reply if I am selected to continue in the process? You will receive a reply from us, whatever the outcome, no later than week 10. Please understand that we are unable to provide individual feedback to all applicants. Approximately how many trainees are hired each year? We normally hire a total of 24 trainees from the countries participating in the programme. The number of trainees in each country differs from year to year. The number of positions is dependent on the quality of the applicants. However, our aim is to hire one trainee per trainee position, or approximately 24 trainees. Will I have a salary? Yes, all trainees are paid at the same monthly salary and are eligible for SEB benefits including 27 days vacation, medical insurance, etc. What type of contract will I have? 12-month probation contract. Is it part-time or full-time employment? Full-time employment. Will I be based at different locations? You will be hired at a specific department that will be your home department during the first year. However, the trainee programme includes visits and internships at other departments, divisions and countries as well. Are there opportunities for further training during the Trainee Programme? Yes, in addition to the common training programme trainees will participate in individual training to develop in their specific role and within areas where there is an individual need for development. Is there a guarantee of a job at the end of the program? It is our aim to take on all trainees at the end of the year-long programme, providing they have performed well during the Trainee Programme.
