What we are looking for
We are looking for passionate and humble young talents with potential and desire to become future leaders or specialists in SEB. Our vision is to deliver world class service and therefore we need committed customer driven people working together striving for simplicity in the age of digitization.
You have an academic degree in business, engineering or equivalent and maybe some work experience. You have experience acquired through leading projects or extra curriculum activities. You are also fluent in written and spoken English. It's qualifying if you have experience acquired through studying or working abroad.
You have a strong focus on building relationships and network. You have an ability to lead others to achieve team performance. You are business- and solution oriented with strong analytical & problem solving skills and a quick learner.
About the program
The trainee program starts in September and runs for a year and gives you a unique opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of SEB and build an extensive network. We have approximately 24 positions placed in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Germany.
- The program has three parts, common courses, individual development and on-the-job training. The common courses are divided into blocks throughout the year. Some of the courses included in the program are: introduction to SEB, communication & negotiation skills and Personal development & self-awareness
- All our trainees belong to a home unit during the trainee year. Together with an assigned tutor you will design a tailored education program that will include everything from product development to field trips and practical work at units in both the home division and other SEB divisions
- Exchanges with other units in and outside the home country will be a natural part of the program. All trainees will spend one month abroad, where depends on the home division's business and location

Let us get to know you
Now it’s time for us to get to know you. Send us your application no later than January 30. You can apply to a maximum of 3 trainee positions. You will be invited to a telephone screening if your profile matches what we are looking for.
We will invite a selection of candidates to the SEB Day. During the day there will be interviews, assessment tests and case-solving as part of our recruitment process. You also have the opportunity to meet former trainees and representatives from SEB.
Interviews and final offer
The final candidates will be invited to additional interviews after the SEB Day where they will meet hiring managers and HR representatives. A job offer comes shortly after this, if you turn out to be the right person for the position.
Welcome to SEB!
The trainee program starts in the beginning of September with an introduction at your home department followed by a common training week with the other trainees.
