Do you want to play a key role in operating and strengthening a business‑critical core insurance platform?

We are now looking for a System Manager to our LIAC platform, built on Lumera Core, where stable operations, proactive improvements, and close collaboration are key to success.

About the role

LIAC is SEB Life & Pension’s core administration platform for life insurance. The platform is operated across multiple environments, where the same application runs both on established server‑based platforms and in containerised environments. Container technology is widely used today and plays an important role in development, testing, and daily operations, alongside more traditional setups.

As a System Manager, you are responsible for ensuring stable, secure, and predictable operations across this landscape. The role combines hands‑on system management with a proactive mindset, focusing on monitoring, automation, and continuous operational improvement. You will support the platform as it exists today while contributing to increased operational maturity over time.

You will work closely with development teams, test automation, product ownership, and our vendor Lumera.

Your responsibilities include
  • Platform operations: Ensure availability, performance, security, and stability of the LIAC platform
  • Operational improvements: Proactively identify and implement improvements in monitoring, alerting, and operational processes
  • Automation: Reduce manual operational work by driving automation of deployments, configuration, health checks, and recovery where appropriate
  • Incident and problem management: Act as a key technical role during incidents, focusing on resolution, root‑cause analysis, and preventive actions
  • Vendor collaboration: Work closely with Lumera on platform upgrades, changes, and operational follow‑ups
  • Documentation and compliance: Ensure proper documentation, audit readiness, and compliance with SEB security and regulatory requirements

To thrive in this role, we believe you have

  • Experience working as a System Manager or in a similar operational role within business‑critical systems
  • A solid understanding of system operations across different technical environments, including both traditional platforms and containerised setups
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and proactive operational work
  • A strong interest in automation and improving operational efficiency
  • Good understanding of relational databases and hands‑on experience reading, analysing, and correcting SQL scripts
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with developers and suppliers
  • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
  • Experience from Lumera, insurance administration systems, or other regulated environments is considered a merit, but not a requirement.
