SEB launches new mobile payment service Swish

SEB launches payment service Swish together with Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, Länsförsäkringar Bank, Nordea, Swedbank and Sparbankerna.

Swish enables private individuals  to quickly, simply and securely send money to other users in real time by connecting mobile phone numbers to bank accounts.

To use the service, one needs a smartphone, the safety solution mobile Bank ID and the Swish app.

"This is a quick, simple and secure way to pay via mobile phone. Through this cooperation with other banks in Sweden, we provide the opportunity for our customers to transfer money seamlessly from their own mobile phones to a bank account," says Mats Torstendahl, head of Retail banking at SEB.

The Swish app will be available for download at the App Store and Google Play from 12 December.
